The magic of the Maldives is always alluring. So when the world shuts down and our favourite islands are off limits, it’s such a sad moment. Yet after a frightful few months, it’s finally been announced that a Maldives air bridge has been launched!
If you’ve been dying to get back to these gorgeous Indian Ocean islands or want to secure your first sight, here’s everything you need to know about travelling to the Maldives in 2020.
It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for, effective from October 25, the Maldives is now included in the UK’s list of quarantine-free countries. So it’s simple to jet off to your favourite Maldivian island without having to self-isolate after.
You’ll have to show proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test that has been issued within the previous 96 hours when you arrive in the Maldives, however. Yet non-essential travel is permitted, so it’s the perfect time to plan a peaceful trip.
Here are some of our favourite hotspots for you to stay at this month.
