Do you want to become unstoppable? Would you like to consistently achieve your goals and eventually live the life of your dreams? Do you constantly feel like you can do more and be more, but wonder if it’s possible? If yes, then know that your dreams are valid. Everything you desire can be yours if you’re willing to do the work that it requires.

And a good step in the right direction is creating an environment that automatically enables the success-driven behaviors that will help you become the best version of yourself. Most people underestimate the importance of environment in their journey to creating their best life.

Yet, time and again, it’s been proven that the right environment makes it easier for you to do the things you need to do. In one of his newsletters, James Clear, bestselling author of Atomic Habits stated that “the more disciplined your environment is, the less disciplined you have to be”. So, how can you create a disciplined life-transforming environment?

Dedicate a Room in the House for Work and Personal Improvement

And make sure that the room is filled with natural light. Some people are lucky enough to have this in their homes or offices. Others build outhouses or property add-ons like conservatories on their property for this purpose.

If you can’t afford an outhouse or add-on yet, simply move your work desk over to a room or near a window. You can also do your meditation, exercises, and reading in this room. This way, every time you walk into that room, your mind goes into a self-development or work mode.

Declutter Your Home

Most people underestimate the importance of clean, tidy, clutter-free spaces. An orderly space encourages creativity and productivity because your mind isn’t distracted by the clutter.

Sure, some people can work with heaps and piles of papers and documents on their desks. But most people need a space without clutter for them to focus and do their best work. Arrange everything in your space to your taste and in keeping with your preferences.

Some people simply adopt a minimalist lifestyle to help curb their clutter. They get rid of anything they haven’t used or worn in six months. You can adopt a similar approach to rid yourself and your space of anything you consider as clutter.

Surround Yourself With Driven People

Ever heard the saying “iron sharpeneth iron”? Well, this is important when you’re chasing your dreams. Apart from daily affirmations and positive thinking, you need to start spending time around people who motivate and inspire you. They don’t necessarily have to be doing the same thing as you.

They just need to be on their grind, chasing their success, and focused on their dreams. Success begets even more success and attracts successful people to you. If you want to continue to chase your dreams, it is imperative to surround yourself with like-minded people.

This way, whenever you’re in need of motivation or just don’t feel like doing a particularly important thing, just being around these people will force you to take action.
