If you don need a cash injection to get things off the ground, then crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo can be a godsend. Film a pitch, showcase your idea, and if people like it they might just contribute to your fund and allow you to get your company off the ground.

Hire freelancers

If you can't do all of the work yourself but you cannot afford a staff, then hiring freelancers on an as and when needed basis, is a great way to access various skills like copywriting, graphic design, and accounting when you need them to help you bootstrap your business. You can start hiring employees as and when you have expanded your business and started earning enough money to do so.

Start small

When you are starting a new business with a shoestring budget, you cannot be all things to all people. It is a good idea to, then, focus on doing one thing really well. So., u might have a plan to sell crocheted scarves teddy bears, shawls, and wall hangings, but until you have set yourself up and have built up a customer base and some profit, it might be a good idea to, say, just focus on the teddy bears and branch out when you are able.
